Scott Weavil | Partner

Scott is the founder of Weavil Law and a seasoned M&A attorney with more than a decade of experience advising on complex transactions. He began his career in M&A at Skadden in New York and later practiced with Wilson Sonsini in Silicon Valley, representing public companies, private equity funds, and high-growth startups. He also clerked for the Delaware Court of Chancery early in his career.

In 2013, Scott launched Weavil Law to provide fast, practical legal counsel tailored to ETA acquirors, founders, and independent sponsors. Today, the firm closes dozens of Main Street and lower middle market transactions each year across sectors including healthcare, SaaS, manufacturing, business services, and the trades.

Scott also serves as Chair of the Alliance of M&A Advisors Virtual Chapter and sits on the board of Barton Health, as well as the advisory committee for the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs.

He graduated from Duke University and Vanderbilt Law School and is currently completing his MBA at the Wharton School.

Scott splits his time between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe with his wife, Mandi, an OB/GYN, and their daughter, Dottie. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the Sierra, the high desert, and the California coast.

Céline Leparmentier | Senior Attorney, M&A and Corporate | Healthcare Practice Lead

Céline Leparmentier is a corporate attorney with over 15 years of experience advising clients on private equity and M&A transactions, corporate governance, and complex commercial matters. Céline also leads the firm’s healthcare contract review practice, bringing a sharp eye and experience for risk and structure to both routine and high-stakes agreements.

Céline began her legal career in Paris at the Brunswick Law Firm, where she spent a decade advising French and international clients on mergers, acquisitions, equity financings, and corporate restructuring. She managed transaction execution from diligence through closing, led internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, and mentored a team of junior lawyers. She also lectured on private equity law for France Invest and multiple startup incubators, helping entrepreneurs understand the deal terms and structures shaping their companies’ growth.

Céline holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Markets and Securities Law from Paris Saclay University (in partnership with ESCP Business School) and a Master’s in Criminal Business Law from the University of Montpellier. She earned her undergraduate law degree in French corporate law and UK/US common law from Cy Cergy Paris University and is a graduate of the Paris Bar School.
Admitted to practice in both California and France, Céline brings a unique perspective to deal work.

Our Staff

Vanessa Sirgobind

Vanessa Sirgobind is part of the Client Concierge team at Weavil Law. Vanessa attended the Durban University of Technology in South Africa and the University of Derby in the United Kingdom where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology and a University Certificate in Psychology. She has worked in the Consumer Goods sector as a Research Manager before joining a start-up company as a Project Leader. She is currently studying for a degree in Law.

Vanessa is passionate about people and going the extra mile to grow business networks & relationships. She brings business management and client care knowledge to Weavil Law PC so that you can rest assured that your legal priorities will be professionally managed.

In her free time, Vanessa enjoys reading, researching, game nights, running, and diving.

Shaun Nyangoni

As Weavil Law’s Intake and Marketing Coordinator, Shaun’s passion lies in delivering the best service possible. Prior to joining Weavil Law, Shaun had sales and customer service experience working in retail and the insurance industry. He brings that knowledge to the firm and strives to ensure that all of our clients are happy and, more than anything, leave well informed and knowing that they have gotten more than their money’s worth.

Shaun enjoys listening to music, keeping fit, and researching the latest marketing trends.
