Scott Weavil | Partner
Scott Weavil is Weavil Law’s founder. He began his career as a mergers & acquisitions attorney in New York and Silicon Valley.
Scott founded Weavil Law in 2016 to provide middle-market businesses and startups with top-quality counsel focused on their unique needs. In 2021 and 2022, he was selected as one of Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars. In his free time, Scott loves spending time outdoors with his wife, Mandi, an OB/GYN, and their daughter, Dottie.

Curtis G. Coetzee | Associate Attorney
Curtis G. Coetzee is an associate attorney with Weavil Law PC. Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, he immigrated to the United States along with his family when he was 14 years old. He graduated magna cum laude from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with a degree in Economics, and completed his Juris Doctor at Trinity Law School. While completing his law degree, he was selected as a student tutor and received multiple Am Jur awards for his academic achievements, and graduated at the top of his class. Curtis’ experience includes business transactions, real estate, estate planning, and business immigration.
Curtis’ current practice involves work in (1) corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions of businesses, (2) new entity start-up formations and financing, (3) preparation of complex business agreements including service agreements, licensing agreements, and various real estate transactions, and (4) ongoing corporate governance and counseling matters. Outside of the office, Curtis can be found on the golf course or enjoying the outdoors. He also enjoys volunteering for non-profit entities focused on helping underprivileged children and traveling with his family and friends.

Vanessa Sirgobind
Vanessa Sirgobind is part of the Client Concierge team at Weavil Law. Vanessa attended the Durban University of Technology in South Africa and the University of Derby in the United Kingdom where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology and a University Certificate in Psychology. She has worked in the Consumer Goods sector as a Research Manager before joining a start-up company as a Project Leader. She is currently studying for a degree in Law.
Vanessa is passionate about people and going the extra mile to grow business networks & relationships. She brings business management and client care knowledge to Weavil Law PC so that you can rest assured that your legal priorities will be professionally managed.
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys reading, researching, game nights, running, and diving.
Shaun Nyangoni
As Weavil Law’s Intake and Marketing Coordinator, Shaun’s passion lies in delivering the best service possible. Prior to joining Weavil Law, Shaun had sales and customer service experience working in retail and the insurance industry. He brings that knowledge to the firm and strives to ensure that all of our clients are happy and, more than anything, leave well informed and knowing that they have gotten more than their money’s worth.
Shaun enjoys listening to music, keeping fit, and researching the latest marketing trends.
